Long-time fans of the franchise know that Kirby games have the potential to take on various different forms, and Kirby's Dream Buffet is no different as it brings in elements of several types of games. The history of Kirby games is long and diverse as there have been many games of different genres throughout the years. The game then becomes a multiplayer race and battle royale in the world of desserts. The premise of the game, as shown in the trailer, is that Kirby is about to dig into a delicious looking cake, but is then somehow zapped by some sort of shrink ray and miniaturized. The release trailer for the game makes Kirby's Dream Buffet look like it takes the multiplayer racing of Fall Guys and mixes it with the party games style of Mario Party and throws it all together in this world of the Dream Buffet.
